Do you want to promote your business or event with a banner? If so, follow these five easy steps to hang it on your garage door!
The video above will guide you through hanging it on a double door, but if you’re hanging it on a single door, check out this video:
How to Hang a Banner on Your Garage Door in 5 Easy Steps
Step One: Decide where you want your banner to be hung. This could be on the front of your garage, or on the side of your house. Make sure you have enough space for the entire banner to be visible.
Step Two: Measure the space where you want to hang the banner, and then measure and cut the vinyl accordingly. You’ll also need grommets, which can be found at most craft stores.
Step Three: Hang the banner using ropes or bungee cords. Make sure the banner is secure and cannot blow away in windy weather.
Step Four: Weigh down the bottom of the banner with something heavy, like sandbags. This will keep it from blowing away in windy weather.
Step Five: Enjoy your new banner! Make sure to take it down in inclement weather, and store it safely when you’re not using it.
You’ll need to know the width and height of the area. Second, choose the type of banner that you want to use. There are several different types available, including vinyl, fabric, and mesh.
Third, print out the design for your banner. Fourth, attach grommets (metal rings) to each corner of the banner. Finally, use screws or hooks to hang the banner on your garage door!
Hanging it from a double door
If you’re hanging your banner on a double door, you’ll need to use two sets of grommets. The top of the banner should be even with the top of the door, and the bottom should be even with the bottom of the door. Be sure to use screws or hooks to hang it so that it doesn’t swing back
If you need help getting started, contact a local sign or banner company. They can help you create a custom design and print it out on the right type of material.
How to make sure it looks good
First, you want to make sure that your banner is an appropriate size for the space where you’ll be hanging it. You don’t want it to be too small or too large- whether it’s a trade show banner or just something advertising your yard sale.
Second, you’ll want to choose a design that is eye-catching and elegant. Something that will really stand out!
Third, you’ll want to make sure that the colors you use are complementary to each other. You don’t want your banner to be too busy or overwhelming.
Fourth, you’ll want to attach grommets (metal rings) to each corner of the banner. This will help it hang evenly and securely. If it’s too tough to get hung up, consider an A Frame sign- they are an easy way to get eyes on your event!
